Gardenshed.net worked with top Sunday Times journalist and author Bryan Appleyard to produce a straightforward, no-nonsense website that offered easy access to his articles and links to his books.
Bryan didn't want fussy special effects, but did want to showcase his photography which he felt was something of which his visitors might not be aware.
Behind the scenes, the website was built on a WordPress engine. Gardenshed.net created a template allowing Bryan to use his preferred blogging tool to seamlessly add content to his site.
Bryan Appleyard's website was created to run on top of industry standard blogging tool, WordPress. Rather than tweaking an existing WordPress template, Gardenshed.net worked with Bryan to design his site - and then created a custom template within WordPress. Doing it this way around ensured that Bryan's site stood out from the crowd of standard templated WordPress sites.
As well as integrating a WordPress blog, Bryan's website also served as an archive for his regular articles and Sunday Times features. Gardenshed.net created a custom MySQL website table and provided him with all the necessary content management tools to make it straightforward for him to add, amend and remove articles with ease.
